Nakayoshi (なかよし) is a Japanese monthly shojo manga magazine from the publication company Kodansha. They launched in 1954 and will be celebrating 65 years with their January 2020 issue.

For a limited time between 10/4/19 - 10/25/19 there will be a special exhibition held at the Yayoi Yumeji Museum in Tokyo [not to be confused with the Yayoi Kusama musem].

Popular works published under Kodansha will be on display along with special goods sold such as original artwork copies. Some examples of series that will be on display are Card Captor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, Shugo Chara! & more! This exhibition is perfect for nostalgic shojo lovers to get a look at some long-time fan favorites while celebrating Nakayoshis’ 65 anniversary.

There will also be a corner that will introduce the current series being published!

☆ Original Goods:

From 9/28/19 there will be a special Artbook sold for ¥3,000 in bookstores across Japan as well as in the Yayoi Museum. If you can’t make it to the exhibit be sure to stop by a bookstore!

Original copies of select artwork will be on sale for ¥60,000.

This exhibition is closed on Mondays with the exception of holiday. When a holiday occurs on a Monday they will be open but close the following day which is Tuesday.
